Overseas Programs

Umoja Operation Compassion Society is running two overseas Programs.  The Uganda Programs include an Elementary school in the Village of Rwentutu, Kasese District of Western Uganda. At this site, we hope to develop a health clinic as well as a youth millenium project. A christian Radio broadcast maybe started at this site depending on donnors. To date this elementary school has grown from K - to primary five [5] with enrollment of 230 children, boys an girls.

Presently, 56 children reside at the school, Thanks to a USA based charity "Assist International" who funded the building of the Dorm block. At the moment we have foundations started for a health clinic, as well as for a dinning Hall.  We will require funding to complete them.  The school also needs one classroom block to complete the 7 grades that form up a full Primary School.  The cost of these 3 pending blocks could be between $50,000 - $75,000.  To donate to this project, please write a cheque to Umoja Operation Compassion society or just click on Support Us to use your credit card.

The second project is in Mwanza Tanzania.  Umoja Operation Compassion is working with Children of Mwanza to fight against poverty, illiteracy and disease.  Our cordinator Letitia traveled back and forth to meet with these children and attend to their needs.  There is room for expansion depending on donations.

If you would like to donate towards this overseas project, please write your check to Umoja operation compassion and be sure to mention that it is for Mwanza children in the memo line on your cheque.  You can also donate online (click on the "support us" menu on the left hand side of this website).
