Updates on The School Construction
The Rwentutu school is now in its second year since opening in February 2007. Enrollment has risen to 200 kids, boys and girls and 56 of them are boarders. The dormetory block which was funded by "Assist International" was completed in June 2008 and the kids moved from the guest house to the Dorm block. A generator which was donated by a Ugandan resident in Seattle arrived and was installed. The school now has running water; the generator is being complimented by light solar power installed January 2009.
Dunamis, one of our partners has secured funding to build a second set of classrooms. These classrooms are expected to be ready by end of 2008. In our end of year update we hope to show pictures of the new classrooms. we need more support and please if you give on line by clicking support us, we will mail you a donation reciept. This school is expected to be a full elementary school running up to grade seven before the end of 2010.
